A Sleek Basement Remodel
This basement quickly went from bleak to sleek with the addition of a cozy bedroom, stylish bathroom, and modern wet bar. This growing family wanted to turn their unfinished basement into a space they could utilize to fit their expanding needs. Making the most of the space, our NextGen crew framed a bedroom with an egress window that doubles as an office. The wet bar in the living area serves as a fun snack station while the floating shelves offer more storage space. And there's no reason to skimp on style in the basement! The homeowners chose modern black cabinets with gold hardware for the wet bar and bathroom vanity, along with dark subway tile and black fixtures in the shower. With all the right moody touches, this Kansas City basement remodel definitely pulled off the modern minimalist style!
"We were impressed right from the beginning of the process. The sales rep did an excellent job not only of your corporate values but also demonstrating how they would be lived out throughout the project. One of the things he highlighted was how important communication was, and he detailed how we would expect daily updates with pictures of the progress being made and a single place to ask any question we had about our remodel. This process was terrific, and it helped me understand what was going on and have confidence in the quality of the work. What stood out to me the most was when things went wrong, with some delays in the permitting process. Instead of trying to hide the issue, blaming the city, or throwing their hands up and giving in to the delay, NextGen was very upfront and communicative about what went wrong and what they were doing about it. This response made me feel like they were a partner trying to navigate the difficult situation instead of just a company in it for profit. Andrew lived at our house daily for months and got along great with the family. We appreciated his respect for space and belongings. Even after the project wrapped up, the team has been great to work with, coming out more than once to fix issues that have arisen now that we live in this space."
