Do you specialize in any specific design style?
The NextGen team will deliver any design style you seek, from transitional to mid-century modern to traditional to contemporary, and more. We listen carefully to our clients to understand every aspect of the project and your goals, and will never complete any work without your permission and approval.

Can you build my addition or exterior project?
No. At NextGen Remodeling, our work scope is focused on home interiors, specifically kitchens, bathrooms, and basements. That is where our talents really shine!
I want to remodel my bathroom, but I don’t know what I want it to look like. Can you help me?
Some of the most challenging decisions homeowners make are related to the home remodeling process. If you know you’re ready for a new bathroom, kitchen, or basement, but you aren’t sure what you want it to look like, our design specialist can help you identify a layout and choose finishes and materials that suit your design taste.
Do you help me with design and layout suggestions?
Yes. If you hire NextGen Remodeling, we will walk you through the entire design process and help with each decision as we build your remodeling package. We use 3-D modeling software to help you visualize different layout options.
What do your bathroom remodels consist of?
We’re in the business of transforming your current bathroom into one you can retreat to. NextGen completes full-scale bathroom remodels from floor to ceiling, including but not limited to tile work, new fixtures, new flooring, walls, doors, and relocating plumbing as needed.

What do your kitchen remodels consist of?
We’re proud of our extensive kitchen remodels, which can include custom or semi-custom cabinetry, solid-surface countertops, new flooring, upgraded technology, and layout changes.

What are your basement remodels like?
We can transform the look of an outdated finished basement into a space your family will love. This underutilized space in your home can be used for so much more than storage!
Or, if your basement is currently unfinished, we can help you gain valuable square footage in your home. NextGen finishes basements with quality materials and craftsmanship you’d expect from a premium home remodeler. We do not offer a basic “slap up some walls and flooring” basement finish. Can I hire you to lay new flooring in my whole house?
At this time, NextGen Remodeling does not offer single services such as this. We recommend hiring a reputable handyman or a trade-specific company for single-aspect projects to get the best pricing and prompt completion.
Do you finish attic spaces?
No, we do not finish attics.
Can you convert our garage into living space?
No, we do not build into your home’s current garage space.
I have a current leak or water issue. Can you help?
If you have an active leak that needs to be addressed quickly, we suggest contacting a plumber or a restoration company. However, if your issue is not urgent, and you can wait until our tentative start date, we can help you with your kitchen, bathroom, or basement remodel.
My home remodel is part of an insurance claim. Can you help?
No, we do not work directly with insurance companies. However, if your insurance company accepts our estimate and tentative schedule for the job, you are welcome to pursue reimbursement from your insurance company.
Practical Questions for Kansas City Home Remodelers
Are you licensed and insured to do home renovations in my city?
Yes. NextGen Remodeling is licensed throughout the greater Kansas City area, including but not limited to, Overland Park, Prairie Village, Leawood, Olathe, and Lees Summit, and maintains appropriate insurance. We’re happy to provide proof of insurance before beginning your project.
Who will be working in my home?
The NextGen Remodeling crew is small, but mighty. We carefully vet all our installers and any trade partners we’d need for your project. Meet our team.
Our project managers will communicate with you each day about whom to expect in your house and the work they’ll be doing, so you can be confident about the process.
Does NextGen Remodeling use subcontractors?
Our crews are trained and experienced in all major aspects of home remodeling. However, we also have well-vetted, trusted trade partners we collaborate with in some phases of our projects.
When can you begin working in my house?
Before we mutually agree on a project scope, our home remodeling specialist will talk to you about scheduling a tentative start date and the projected duration. Our premium craftsmanship and beautiful results mean we’re in high demand, but we promise your new kitchen or bathroom from NextGen Remodeling is worth the wait.
Do I need to plan time off around your schedule to be available during construction?
No. We cover all the details during the design process before we start construction, leaving very few questions during the remodel.
Do you help me select my tile, fixtures, and cabinets, or do I visit showrooms myself?
As part of our home remodeling packages, we walk you through the entire design process and help with each selection as we build your package.

How much will my remodel cost?

Can I purchase and provide some of my own materials?
Our estimates include purchasing and providing all the materials needed to complete your remodel, except for appliances and certain decorative items. We can help you select appliances and decor, but you would then purchase them directly from the supplier.

Are all supplies included in the estimate, or does it only include labor?
All our estimates include the supplies necessary for the project, unless otherwise specified. When you hire NextGen Remodeling, you’ll work with our design specialist to select fixtures and other design elements. We make sure everything will coordinate and include miscellaneous materials needed to complete your home transformation.

Are appliances included in your estimate?
Because of the wide range of appliance costs and functions, we don’t include an allowance for appliances in our estimates. However, we can help you select appliances to ensure they work seamlessly with your new kitchen so that you can purchase them directly from the supplier.

Are there any fees for your home remodeling estimate?
No, our estimates are free, unless you hire us for our detailed design process before requesting or accepting your estimate.
